HOW ALL GOT STARTED...

Once upon a time I decided that I would write a cookbook. I would name it “101 Potluck Diners and Other Delights.”

It never happened. All of the sudden I lost interest. It was a dream. So the few recipes that I wrote got stapled together and into the box where I keep all my recipes. Life changes and so do we.

I’m married and I have two wonderful children, Sara and Ruben… and now two grandchildren, which are my pride and joy. Sara asked me to keep them while she was working. We both worked in a day care center for a while, and had visions of runny noses that nobody cleaned. That was my first job in this country. I applied as a teacher, because I did that in Spain. They hired me as a cook because I was a mother and I knew about cooking. I always enjoyed it since I was very young and my aunt Concha showed me how to make an apple tart with “Reineta apples” and sweet bread from the bakery. I like to cook and especially to bake.
